THE MYSTERY BOXES ARE OPEN!!!!!!!! And it’s even better than I was told! The boxes range in price from an original $10/item down to a $5/item original price. So of course that means there are items as low as $2.50 ranging up to FIVE BUCKS!
The boxes are full of all kinds of fun surprises…people have pulled out great throw rugs, some beautiful pillows, I snagged a CARS pillow for my car crazy little great nephew and a Cinderella sippy cup with sparkles in the bottom for his baby sister, there are toys, gifts for her, gifts for him, all kinds of stuff! DO NOT DELAY. We’ve had people loading up basket after basket of these great bargains.
PLUS, our wonderful owner brought down some other great things including a beautiful set of carving/kitchen knives for just ten dollars, and I also saw as I whizzed by some nice looking caps for $4.
If you want to get some warm mittens, hats, gloves etc to put in the charity boxes (or for yourself) we have a couple of huge boxes of various styles. These are great quality and range in price from $3 to $6 with the 50% savings!

Just arrived Wednesday, a nice stock of Holiday themed boxes, perfect for wrapping a gift, without bothering with wrapping paper!
These are great! Plus, they become almost a gift in themselves, as they can be used over and over, or you can store holiday items in them.
The Christmas themed hat boxes are great as are my favorites, the little Christmas “suitcases”. All the boxes are made of sturdy cardboard with beautiful graphics. Add a bow or a to/from sticker (we received a small assortment of those too) and you are DONE!
The prices are super reasonable as well. For instance the tower o boxes to the left did retail for over $60 for the whole set. Now, if you want all ten boxes you’ll pay half! You can purchase them as singles or buy the whole set. With 50% off it’s a steal! The biggest box retailed for $11, so that’s #$6.50 now. Supplies are limited, so don’t delay!

The Mystery Pallets
Yea Warehouse!!!!!! The pallets arrived! However, we have been super busy today, so we will have at least one of the pallets ready to shop Thursday afternoon after 2 PM. We are open till 6, so you’ll have some time to check out the goodies. I snapped a couple of pictures and opened one box before I had to scoot home as my morning dizzy spell is not gone.
As I expected, there is a compelling mix of decor and household items and for $5.00/item, you are sure to find a treasure or two. No further discounts will be made on the items, they are FIVE BUCKS each. In the box I opened up there was a mix of fun things like a throw rug, some cute chicken themed curtains, a Marilyn Monroe insulated water bottle, even some Barbie Doll furniture. These are always fun to explore as you never know what you’ll find. Can’t wait to get back to work myself to dig through the stuff!
The first wave of items will be ready to shop by 2 PM THURSDAY December 10! All items will be FIVE DOLLARS! No further discount, all sales final. Bring a friend and a fistful of Lincolns….you are in for a shopping bonanza!

At some point today (Wednesday), five pallets of catalog overrun merchandise is scheduled to come to the store. Here’s the huge news part: We’re not merchandising it, we’re opening the boxes and you all can go at it, anything on the pallets will be FIVE DOLLARS!!!!!!!!! That’s right $5.00!
Catalog overruns are items liquidated from mail order merchants, mostly home decor and gift item catalogs so the pallets could include a variety of things. You might find a lamp or a bedspread for five bucks…toys or toiletries, dishes, novelty items, maybe even some holiday. But anything and everything is only five dollars and NO FURTHER DISCOUNT! (We’re giving this stuff away folks).
And….we also received today, some very nice Corning Ware small souffle like dishes in black and red (rather Asian looking actually). Regularly $20 for a set of 4, now with 50% off, just ten bucks! They are microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe.
We also received some beautiful Christmas gift box collections….big boxes, small boxes, perfect for gifts AND you won’t even have to wrap them! These range, with the $50% off from $8 down to 75 cents.
The FIVE DOLLAR Pallets should for sure, be ready by tomorrow. But stay posted and if they come before five I’ll post it.
Well there are lots of bare shelves, but still some great stuff at those amazing 50% off prices. There are Yankee Candles left, some great candle and votive holders, too. And if you are still looking for a cute little holiday tree we discovered two in hiding that are now out and ready for new homes.
One of the trees is another of the very festive holiday ornament ball trees. This little guy stands about 3 1/2 feet tall and is covered in bright holiday balls in a variety of colors. The other is another of the bright green glitter trees with lights. Both of these would make great additions to your decorating schemes.
And of course there are still lots of other great items. Make a list of all the card buying occasions you buy for and stock up now. At 50% off greeting cards are a fabulous buy! We’ve pulled back stock of Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Graduation and they are all out. Those holidays will be here before you know it so why not purchase when you can save 50%!

The Yankee candles are going fast! At 50% off it won’t take long to clear those hutches! One is all ready nearly empty! If you love Yankee Candles I would not wait too long, Tuesday cleared a huge amount out of the store. Still lots of nice scents left, but every day people are buying in multiples.
(And you know what I say: “If you see it and there are only one or two…grab it, cuz it won’t last. AND…..I don’t allow whining when I warn you!!!).
If you’ve not been in lately, we started the 50% off the day after Thanksgiving, and it’s been Black Friday ever since! Amazingly we are still getting new things so don’t think you’ve seen it all! We had a small shipment show up yesterday.
We close on December 31, so the clock is ticking. Trudi wanted me to tell you that the Post Office will close on December 30th, as they have to do inventory to turn everything back to the US Postal Service.
But she’ll be there for your holiday shipping.
Since we announced our 50% off discount, it’s been BUSY at Hill’s Gifts. Just a quick update…if you are in a HUGE hurry, here’s some news about shopping patterns at the store. Our lunch hours from about noon till 2 are pretty busy. Monday we had lines pretty much from noon till 1:30.
Of course we are still accepting credit cards, checks and cash as usual.
The Post Office can take your CHECK or CASH only transactions for retail items. During the lunch hour please limit your transactions to a small amount of items such as cards or a few retail things. It’s busy over at the PO during that time as well.
To facilitate everyone getting everything in their bag please take a basket and keep your items in it. Especially during our busiest times we cannot keep your items on the counter any longer. Monday we had lots of baskets going and no one lost anything.
I urge you to shop early as items are starting to draw down. We still have a good supply of Yankee Candles and at 50% off it’s a deal!
We are open until 6 PM. It is somewhat busy between 4 and 6, but not quite as busy as the lunch hour.

The news you’ve been waiting for! Yes! Prices will now be 50% off starting Friday November 27th. Just in case you might think we are pretty shopped out, think again! We’ve had THREE huge pallet shipments this past week. The items are great! The prices amazing! And of course, NOW 50% OFF THE MARKED PRICE!
Wednesday was spent hustling to get everything priced and put out. Didn’t get fresh pictures, but let me just say the items were wonderful! We have the cutest small cookie jar, it’s a neutral shade with a holly and cardinal motif. It’s not quite so Christmasy so you could use it all winter long. One of my favorite items was a cute little white mug with a blue snowflake on it. This little mug makes a great gift, it has a lid to keep the warm drinks warm. Add a packet of gourmet hot chocolate and you have a great little hostess gift, office gift, or stocking stuffer. We also received a huge amount of little animated Santas and Reindeer, very cute gingerbread house cookie jar, and more.
We also received a great selection of picture frames and a wonderful “Pub” mirror. This mirror is perfect for the entry way as it features coat hooks below the mirror. Framed pictures are always a great gift, so do check out our selection.
I did snap some photos of the new things that came in at the end of last week, and if I have a chance later today, I’ll get some pictures of the latest shipment.
