Big Basket/Pottery Blowout this FRIDAY June 12!
FRIDAY JUNE 12, 9 AM-4 PM, it’s a huge WICKER/POTTERY BLOWOUT SALE! This one day sale features hundreds, and I mean hundreds of baskets and pottery from our huge shipment of Phillipines crafted wicker and clay pottery. These unique pieces are unlike your ordinary craft store wicker. We have some samples in the store, and some of you were lucky enough to purchase these in January when we first brought them in.
My favorites are the baskets that are crafted to look like a cloth sack. These baskets are covered with bark (I’m guessing a palm bark of some type), with a rolled lip and a twisted vine or small rope forming the top of the sack. I love these things! We have a variety of sizes and they are most unique…the best part…they are well under wholesale, like under $2o!
That’s right this entire shipment is WELL BELOW WHOLESALE! You won’t find anything over $20. We’re not talking tiny little baskets here, we’re talking nice size baskets, perfect for decorating the patio or garden. Plus, the pottery is absolutely beautiful! Almost all of it includes unique designs etched into the clay pots or the addition of the vine as handles or design elements. We even have hanging pots and hanging baskets.
I’m stocking up because I use baskets as containers for both fresh and artifical floral designs. I also use a lot of baskets to contain special gifts like food baskets or my favorite thing to give to new moms… “Mom’s Pampers”…that’s a basket filled with goodies just for her. I often include some nice natural soaps, a puffy scrub in a fun color, a box of chocolates, bubble bath, hand cream (Camille Beckman items are perfect for this), a magazine or book she’d enjoy, and a little plant or flowers. I always look for baskets she can use in the nursery so I look for pretty big baskets. Sometimes the baskets of the size I use can end up costing more than what I put in them…NOT AT THIS SALE! I’m stocking up, so should you! The holiday gift giving season will be here before you know it…so have baskets on hand!
Imagine how great handmade jams or jellies would look in a basket. Or how about putting a handmade quilt, or candles, even a bit of handmade jewelry in a unique container…a special basket! It’s like two gifts in one.
The sale is THIS FRIDAY ONLY…NINE AM till FOUR PM. There are hundreds of baskets and pottery, we have some in store right now and we’ll save some if we can, to have in the store. But we expect to sell out. Plan your lunch hour or tell the boss you have an appointment and come on down! You’ll see the truck in the parking lot but the sale will be on the sidewalk in front of the store! See you Friday!
